KW coilover kits available for BMW models with all-wheel drive: KW Clubsport 2-way and KW Variant 3 for M135i xDrive (F40)
Many BMW vehicles are available with the BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system as an option or, like the new BMW M135i xDrive (F40), already ex works. As one of the few chassis manufacturers in the aftermarket, KW automotive has threaded suspensions for a large number of BMW xDrive models in its product range. KW has also developed the coilover suspension Variant 3 and for all Trackday Enthusiast's the KW Clubsport 2-way.
A BMW M135i xDrive (F40) equipped with variant 3 drives even more dynamically due to the KW dampers with their multi-valve technology (TVR-A and TVC-A), which can be tuned in compression and rebound. Even with a maximum lowering of 55 millimeters, the KW coilover suspension dampens precisely on undulating roads due to the blow-off characteristic of the high-speed valves and prevents unharmonious driving behavior, which for example occurs with conventional lowering only with lowering springs.
KW Clubsport coilover suspension kit - the streetlegal performance suspension for trackday enthusiast's
For all those who driving regularly on the race track with semi-slick tires, we have developed the KW Clubsport 2-way coilover suspension. It differs from the KW Variant 3 by its more stiffer setup. All suspension components are designed to focus on fast lap times and ride comfort for everyday driving is secondary.
On the stainless-steel front axle suspension strut of the KW coilover suspension Variant 3 and Clubsport 2-way, a continuously variable lowering from 35 to 55 millimeters can be set within the scope of the parts report. On the rear axle the lowering is not adjusted directly on the damper but via the rear axle height adjustment. The lowering range covered by the expertise is 30 to 50 millimeters.
KW's suspension tuning philosophy is based on a suspension that is as tight as necessary and as comfortable as possible. This is only possible through a damper multi-valve technology. On request, the dampers can be separately adjusted in the compression and rebound stages with twelve or 16 exact clicks in their damper characteristics. Put simply, depending on the selected setup, the BMW M135i xDrive's handling becomes even sportier or, for a sporty chassis, surprisingly comfortable.
For more than 20 years we have been the market leader and innovation driver as a manufacturer of individual suspension solutions for the road and in racing. No matter where in the world, sporty drivers, car manufacturers and tuners trust in our KW Coilovers "Made in Germany" and the KW Coilovers Variant 3 is one of the most sold coilovers in its segment worldwide.
