KW coilovers available for all four-door Mercedes A-Class sedans (V177)
Whether in the A 250 e plug-in hybrid or AMG A35 4MATIC - KW coilovers ensure vehicle performance and ride comfort

Our KW coilovers are available for numerous vehicles and offer far more than just the possibility of maximum lowering within the scope of the technical parts certificate. All suspensions developed by KW increase the vehicle performance paired with a convincing rolling comfort. For all models of the notchback sedan, such as the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC, the A 250 e Plug-in-Hybrid or the A180, the KW coilovers with stainless steel struts are part of our delivery program. It does not matter whether the V177 sedan is front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

While for the sporty sedan Mercedes-AMG A35 4MATIC the KW Clubsport coilover is also available in addition to the KW coilover Variant 3, the KW coilover Variant 1 is as well available for all other engine versions. The suspensions, which are available with a technical parts certificate, allow a maximum lowering of 10 to 30 millimeters for the AMG A35 4MATIC sedan or 45 to 75 millimeters for the A 250 e plug-in hybrid and 30 to 50 millimeters for the A180 sedan on request.

The possibilities to adjust the suspension in its damper characteristics more sportily or comfortably and to freely choose a stepless lowering make the KW coilover Variant 3 so popular. This is further enhanced by KW automotive's tuning philosophy of always designing a suspension for the road as tightly as necessary and as comfortably as possible. If a Mercedes-Benz A-Class (V177) lowered with a KW coilover Variant 3 is driven on a badly constructed secondary road, the KW coilover absorbs these shocks precisely and quickly.

With the KW coilover Variant 3, the rebound forces can be further tuned with 16 exact clicks for more comfortable or, if desired, more firm handling. The compression is also adjustable on Variant 3. The compression valves in the damper support the body structure and control how the spring compresses. Depending on the setting, the compression can be used to influence rolling motions and the steering behavior.

Whereas the low-speed compression (piston rod velocity) of the KW Variant 3 can be individually adjusted with twelve clicks, the high-speed compression valves, which are jointly responsible for ride comfort, are preconfigured and cannot be further adjusted. At high vertical accelerations, for instance when driving over bumps or transverse joints, the high-speed compression valves open and the wheels compress.

The persuasive, sporty and comfortable handling is supported by the use of progressive suspension springs. Anyone who opts for a KW coilover always receives a vehicle-specific complete solution that we have perfected in several road tests for everyday use.
