KW coilover suspension kits for Toyota GR Supra (JTSC)
For every Supra enthusiast the perfect suspension - from our adaptive KW DDC plug&play to the KW Variant 3 and the brandnew KW Clubsport coilover suspension kit.
KW automotive, the suspension manufacturer, has already developed the first in the market full adjustable coilover suspension kit for the latest Toyota GR Supra (JTSC). With the KW Variant 3 coilover suspension, the Japanese sports car dynamics of lateral motion will improve without sacrificing tire comfort in daily life.
Despite the low center of gravity of the GR Supra our KW Variant 3 Coilover allows a stepless lowering of 15 - 35 millimeters on the front axle and 20 - 40 millimeters on the drive axle.
On undulating asphalt surfaces, the KW suspension dampens harmoniously and prevents bumpy driving behavior. The pitch and roll movements of the bodywork are noticeably reduced. This is mainly due to our multi-valve technology with twelve clicks in compression and 16 clicks in rebound forces.
The KW Coilover suspensions provide a significant performance gain and are appreciated by car enthusiasts worldwide. This is mainly due to our multi-valve technology used in the dampers with preconfigured high-speed valves and adjustable low-speed valves for the compression and rebound forces. This enables us to achieve driving behavior as tight as necessary and as comfortable as possible.
The factory preconfigured high-speed valves enable harmonious suspension travel even with a stiff adjusted damper setup. These high-speed valves open in a flash even at maximum lowering and fast driving over transverse joints or bumps. The Coupé does not get bumpy on motorway bridges with transverse joints and remains safely controllable at the limits of driving dynamics in daily life.
This damper technology is based on KW motorsport developments. For example, at the Nurburgring 2019 24-hour race, the Toyota Supra Gazoo Racing Team also used KW motorsport suspension with separately adjustable compression and rebound dampers. The adjustable dampers make it possible to adjust the already preset and recommended suspension setup for the Toyota GR Supra further for a personal driving experience for everyday use. With 16 clicks, the cross-section in the low-speed valve can be reduced or enlarged to precisely adjust the damping with every click. If the rebound valve is opened, driving comfort increases. If it is closed, the pitch and roll movements of the body structure are significantly reduced and handling becomes even more dynamic.
KW DDC plug&play
Our adaptive KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension kit is available for all Toyota GR Supra with electronic adjustable shocks.
Depending on the equipment level and market, the new Toyota GR Supra is also available with an adaptive suspension. For these Supra models the KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension is specifically one of the best aftermarket suspension options. By push of the OEM button in the cockpit the KW DDC shocks switches between the different damper modes within milliseconds. For everyday use the KW DDC plug&play coilover suspension kit offers more ride comfort or sporty driving on public roads.
With the uncomplicated installation of the KW DDC plug&play coilover kit, the original damper control does not have to be deactivated like when retrofitting sport suspension. The KW DDC plug is simply connected to the original connection and the on-board electronics immediately recognize the coilover suspension kit from KW. By installing this dynamic controlled dampers system what you get is a much high-quality adaptive shock that rides much better than stock but also improves so the Supras handling by not upsetting the chassis through mid-corner bumps.
KW Clubsport – tailor-made performance for the racetrack
Many sports car drivers and drivers of sporty compact models regularly take part in track days on racetracks with their road-legal vehicles. For these enthusiasts, the suspension manufacturer KW automotive has specifically developed its KW Clubsport coilovers. Drivers, who cannot do without a road-legal approval despite regular track days with their Toyota GR Supra (A90, JTSC), can find an ideal retrofit option in the KW Clubsport suspension.
On racetracks such as the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Fuji Speedway, Laguna Seca Raceway, Nürburgring Nordschleife, and Silverstone Circuit, production sports car suspensions and even conventional coilovers quickly reach their limits. With a suspension with racetrack tuning and separately adjustable damper force, the tires can work better than with a production suspension designed for everyday use. Handling is much more direct with a suspension designed for trackdays like the KW Clubsport coilover suspension.
Thanks to the Clubsport coilover suspension with stiffer spring rates and the dampers designed for the use of semi-slicks, the road holding and road grip at high cornering speeds as well as in the driving dynamic limit range benefit significantly. The harder tire carcasses and rubber compounds of semi-slicks compared to road tires can build up grip much better with the KW suspension with part certificates. The unibal bearings on the front axle struts of the KW Clubsport coilover suspension allow the camber values to be adjusted for maximum tire contact area during fast cornering.
The Clubsport suspension provides optimum support for the bodywork in the driving dynamics limit range and significantly reduces body roll. The multi-valve technology used in the dampers also prevents the semi-slick tires from losing grip on poor road surfaces or aggressive curb cutting. Thanks to the multi-valve technology of the Clubsport dampers, it is possible to adjust the damping with 16 clicks in rebound and 12 clicks in compression, perfectly to the respective track layout and tire characteristics.
